Hey there! Like my new style? I felt like it was time for a fun change!
Maybe it’s my new hair, but I’ve been feeling inspired lately. And when I feel inspired, I just have to share it.
I haven’t been keeping up with this blog like I should – I was shocked to see that I hadn’t posted in nearly 8 months! But I’m recommitting to posting MORE of what YOU want to see. More recipes, more workouts and fitness tips, more of ME (and maybe more crazy cat pictures)!
For now, here are some updates on what’s been going on in my world:
1)We bought a house!
That’s right, Brian and I are new homeowners in the Richmond, VA area! We are so excited! We have WAY more space than we did in our apartment. Brian likes that he has a shed and enough room to spread out and do projects. He’s already built a new mantle for the fireplace, created a cute chalkboard for our dining area, made me a desk (!), and built a new coffee table for the living room. How did I get such a handy husband?!
2) I’m feeling better than ever on my fitness journey!
These are my results from a 3-day cleanse I did recently. It wasn’t easy, but I COMMITTED and DIDN’T CHEAT! I’ve been able to help many people stay accountable, but I’ve also stayed consistent with my own workouts. I’m so happy with my body, but I still have big goals. Maybe I’ll share one with you soon…
3) I’ve had some major losses this year.
It hasn’t all been positivity. If you follow me on Facebook or other social media, you probably know that my brother passed away in January of this year. He wasn’t the healthiest person by any means, but no one suspected that we would lose him. My family and I were devastated. I still miss him everyday, but the good days have started to outweigh the bad. Recently, I found out that another family member is also very sick. These situations have been huge reminders for me on how precious our time on this earth is.
4) Beachbody has been SO GOOD to me!
I can’t believe I’m saying this: I am OFFICIALLY a FULL-TIME Beachbody coach!! That’s right, this job makes up over 90% of my income! I dreamed about this when I first became a coach in 2012. Don’t get me wrong, it was NOT EASY. I worked my butt off to connect with more people, motivate my coaches, and support as many people as possible on their fitness journeys. But you know what? It was definitely worth it. I am so proud to say that my hard work paid off, and continues to pay off. I still have some big goals for my business (of course!), but I know I can achieve them.
That’s what’s been happening with me! I can’t wait to share the rest of this year with you!!
